Director of Inside Sales

Greenville, SC

The Director of Inside Sales will directly lead a team of inside sales representatives in originating mortgages to real estate investors. You will lead and manage a dynamic team of Inside Sales specialists who are responsible for selling our lending products, developing new business relationships and expanding existing clients across the United States. Establish and set strategic direction for sales growth and business model evolution.  Responsible for oversight and managing of sales priorities, budget, and continuous improvement of inside sales metrics.  Plans, directs, leads and manages resources in optimizing sales effectiveness within inside sales.

Reports to:  Chief Revenue Officer

Location:  Greenville, SC company headquarters, no exceptions.

Qualifications

  • Principled individual with high moral standards, intelligence and integrity
  • 5+ years in sales leadership role and/or successful direct sales and sales management experience
  • Mortgage real estate (commercial or residential) related industry with sales management/leadership experience, preferred.
  • Proven track record and demonstrated success in managing and directing a highly skilled, motivated, and successful results oriented call center sales teams.
  • Successful track record of recruiting and developing inside sales professionals
  • Proven ability to develop and manage an active and growing sales pipeline
  • Healthy respect and support for operations team and role in loan closing process. No tolerance for a sales vs. operations culture. Teamwork and support is critical.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, projecting a positive attitude and providing an environment of professional excellence.
  • Strong sales and presentation skills with ability to speak and write well.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. Business, finance or related field, preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Recruit, grow and train Inside Sales team – growing from current 6 to 15-20 sales professionals
  • Sets goals, activity levels, monitors work and key performance metrics and evaluates results to ensure sales goals are exceeded.
  • Maintains active monitoring of monthly pipeline production and sales activity to allow reliable reporting to executive team on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for hiring, training and developing high performance sales team members, employee development, performance evaluation, resolution of employee issues and all manager related administrative functions.
  • Supports achievement of business objectives through effective management of resources, effective pipeline management, and by assessing the effectiveness of incumbent sales and product training.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve products, processes, and service to achieve short-term and long-term strategic and tactical goals.
  • Supports and advises management of internal and external products and regulations, as well as, stays abreast of industry trends, best practices and competitive information.
