A generalized list of job responsibilities is below.

– Manage all aspects of the company’s financial models
– Work closely with the company’s CFO, banks, and investors to design, model, and implement                   optimal funding and product strategies
– Work closely with the company’s Controller to design, model, implement, and track company department-level budgets
– Gain proficiency in company’s accounting systems, loan management software, and crystal reporting tools
– Analyze overall loan portfolio performance and risk metrics
– Prepare and deliver detailed financial analysis to CFO and investors
– Other projects and research as necessary

Skills Required

– Proven financial analysis experience including the ability to understand and develop detailed cost of capital calculations, financial statements, performance reports and predictive models
– Strong understanding of relational databases, data structure and data elements, with an ability to analyze and manipulate large and complex data sets
– Expertise in Microsoft Excel
– Excellent consulting, oral, written, presentation and facilitation skills
– Ability to work in a complex team environment across multiple departments
– Ability to work under minimum supervision and manage tight deadlines

Education and Experience Requirements

– Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in financial management, mathematics, or a related field
– 2-4 years of professional-level experience                                                                                                                     – Industry experience is preferred but not required

Staff Accountant Greenville, SC

The new hire will work within the finance department of the company. Experience in our industry is not required but one to two years of experience in an accounting role is preferred. We are a fast-growing company and candidates have great potential to grow within the company.

A generalized list of job responsibilities is below.

– Assist the Controller in handling the monthly accounting and reporting tasks
– Properly record business transactions for interest receipts, bank transfers, loan payoffs, new loans, construction escrow draws, payments, etc.
– Reconcile monthly bank and loan account balances
– Maintain supporting schedules for depreciation, amortization, prepaid and accrued expenses
– Maintain accrued interest schedules for all short term and long term loans
– Maintain Deferred Origination Fee schedules
– Assist in budget preparation
– Provide information to auditors and tax preparers for year-end reports and filings                                           – Fully cross-train on the company’s loan servicing and accounting software
– Other projects as necessary

– 1-2 years of experience in accounting
